On a licence granted by Cheshire West and Chester Council in 2010, Dart Energy began drilling for coalbed methane at a site adjacent to Marsh House Farm in March 2014. The project is expected to last for a period of eight to twelve weeks, with the site being cleared on completion. There has been much media attention which in turn has attracted both local and national interest. Indeed, a protest rally was held on Sunday 16th march at the drilling site. Any concerns on the impact of the project can be directed to Dart Energy via its website or by telephone on 01786-230200. Please click here to access the Dart Energy website.
